Orthopedic Corrective Surgeries
at Kinondo Hospital.
Dr. Stan Kinsch of Kinondo Hospital under Special Clinics - Orthopedic Clinic, works with the APDH Rehabilitation Centre . www.apdkrehabclinic.org in Port Reitz, Mombasa. APDK is conducting mobile outreach clinics along the Kenyan Coast and identifies children with disabilities to rehabilitate them at their centre. Children with leg deformities are screened and referred to Dr. Stan for corrective surgeries at Kinondo Hospital. They are then brought back to the rehabilitation Centre in Port Reitz. The children usually stay in a cast for 4 to 6 weeks and then receive physiotherapy before they return to their families. Some children with leg amputations are fitted with prosthetic limbs and taught to walk again.

Modern Equipment.
A new ultrasound equipment
Thanks to a donation from Family Fredrik Runnquist, It has been a difficult time since the old, second hand machine, that has served for many years, ceased to function. The ultrasound equipment is indispensable for the ante natal care.
